About Taylor Franklin, LPC-IT
I am so glad you are here.
Hello, I'm Taylor Franklin. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training (LPC-IT) currently practicing as an outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist with Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW). I hold my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, alongside a Master of Arts in Art Education. With this background in the arts, I bring a unique, creative, and holistic perspective to my clinical and therapeutic work.
As a first-generation American with Slavic ancestry, I pay close attention to the intergenerational gifts and burdens we all carry. My clinical and spiritual focus centers on helping individuals remember and embrace their true identities, supporting them to understand ancestral lineage, heal trauma, and actualize their inherent gifts.
My personal journey with loss has deeply influenced my understanding of grief and its impact on individuals and communities. Having experienced the profound loss of multiple family members in a short period, I intimately understand the isolation and pain that can accompany deep grief. Because of this, I am dedicated to offering a safe, gentle, and highly supportive space for individuals to explore their emotions, process their experiences, and develop sustainable coping mechanisms. I focus my clinical and community work on grief counseling, ancestral connection, and trauma recovery.
My approach to healing is grounded in empathy, presence, and a firm belief in the power of connection and self-discovery. I am passionate about advocating for mental health awareness and am committed to providing culturally attuned, socially conscious care.
In both my professional and personal life, animist psychology and ancestral relationships are integral to my understanding of human behavior. I believe we are deeply interconnected with the natural world and that honoring our ancestral wisdom is a profound pathway to modern healing.
I am deeply honored to walk alongside members of our community on their journeys of healing and self-discovery.
